Simply Good Wine. No Bull

Malbec is a purple grape variety used in making red wine. The grapes tend to have an inky dark color and robust tannins.

This week I feature the no nonsense Invisbull Malbec from British Columbia Canada.

Winemakers Notes:

The Malbec offers blackberry and plums with a nuance of chocolate.

Food Pairings: Lean red meats, funky cheeses and earthy mushrooms.

Cheers and Enjoy responsibly

Pilsner

“The best things in life are tree” – Tree Brewing Co.

Kelowna was once famous for a thriving tobacco industry. Today it is renowned for its fruit, farm crops, wine industry and beer. I present from the the Tree Brewing Company one of my favorite beers, Kelowna Pilsner.

Brewer’s Notes:

The clean, crisp taste of this traditional European Pilsner is complimented by just the slightest taste of hops. Smooth and light to medium bodies, this is an excellent beer for any occasion.

Food Pairings: Sushi, chicken, grilled salmon, salads

ABV: 4.8%

IBU: 15

Viceroy

Launched in 1940 in South Africa, Viceroy Brandy Aged 5 years has become the number 1 brandy in Kenya.

Distillers Notes:

Superbly matured in French Limosin oak barrels for a smooth finish, Viceroy 5 year old brandy is crafted to perfection according to the age old tradition from The House of Van Ryn’s.

*The House of Van Ryn’s is internationally acclaimed for producing some of the world’s best potstill brandies.

I hope this is an incentive for you to visit my beautiful country of Kenya and South Africa to raise a glass to this perfectly crafted and matured brandy with your family and friends.

Cheers and please drink responsibly
